The party is preparing for the holding of both union and presidential elections

The ruling Kulmiye political party has announced that it will hold its Central Council meeting in Burao on 20thof august and that it will start preparing for the upcoming political parties and organizations and subsequently the presidency elections.
This was revealed as the president of the Republic of Somaliland and who is also the chairman of the Kulmiye party, H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi, chaired a meeting of the executive committee of the Kulmiye party which was held Wednesday at the headquarters of the party.
Various issues related to the activities of the party, both external and internal, were analyzed, underlining the importance of the people joining hands to safeguard and protect security and working together hence prevent any threat to peace and stability.
At the end of the meeting, the contents of the meeting and the points that came out were explained to the media by the second vice-chairman of the KULMIYE party, Mr. Ahmed Abdi Hussein (Ahmed Abdi-deere), and among the points that came out were the following two points:-
1-On August 20, 2023, the meeting of the central council of the KULMIYE party will be held in Burao, the capital of Togdeer region.
2-That the party is preparing for the holding of the two elections for the unions and the presidency that have been scheduled by the National Elections Commission, and fully supports that decision.
The deputy chairman sent a message to the members of the central council of the KULMIYE party that at the beginning of the month of August they will receive their cards to attend the meeting of the central council at the time scheduled yesterday by the members of the executive committee of the party.
He also called on the KULMIYE party supporters in the regions and districts of the country to prepare for the upcoming national elections in the country, as the country is on the way to the elections.
