THT-Somaliland Police have, on two operations conducted, impounded 319 bottles of dry gin smuggled into the country from Ethiopia.
Salahley police station seized 268 liters of alcohol and one suspect.
Salahlay Station Commander Mustafe said they arrested the suspect on Friday in a car carrying 268 liters of alcohol.
Briefing the press at 31 May precinct, Abdi Iidan Police Station Officer Commanding Station confirmed that his officers got wind of the smugglers through their informants with 51 litres of alcohol.
The police boss warned all those people engaging in illicit businesses to stop since the arm of the law was long. He went to affirm that the police are vigilant and shall not sit idle while some people are busy destroying youths with illicit drugs and alcohol.
