Somaliland’s Minister of National Planning and Development, Ms. Kaltuun Sheikh Hassan, held a meeting with Hugh Colin Garnet Macleman, Humanitarian-Development-Peacebuilding (HDP) Nexus Coordination Adviser at the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator.
The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the HDP Nexus workshop recently held in Hargeisa, with discussions focusing on upcoming work plans and efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination among the technical committees.
Minister Kaltuun thanked Macleman for his role in facilitating the workshop and supporting the leadership of the technical committees, saying his contribution helped advance the objectives of the gathering.
The meeting, also attended by Mustafe Khayre and Mohamed M. Awale, further examined the next steps and ways to implement recommendations emerging from the workshop.
The discussions form part of ongoing efforts to improve coordination among stakeholders working on humanitarian assistance, development and peacebuilding in Somaliland.
