THT- Omaar Trading Company has donated 50 water tankers and 3,000 bags of livestock fodder to drought affected victims of Sool region
The Sool regional administration has previously said that there is a severe drought in the region, and called on the government and aid agencies to come to the rescue.

A Sool regional official said they have received delivery of water ferried by 50 tankers and 3,000 bags of fodder to Omar Trading Company. They urged regional and national entrepreneurs to follow Omaar’s example and support the community. They prayed for the alms giver, Jama Omar, to be rewarded by Allah.

The government has cautioned that there is a severe drought in the country that could impact nearly 900,000 families in the eastern and western regions of Somaliland.

The international community and neighbouring countries have yet to respond to the drought and aid in Somaliland, except for the United Arab Emirates.
Omaar Trading Company, which often plays a key role in assisting people in times of crisis, is expected to contribute further more water and fodder assistance to the drought crisis in Sool region. The residents prayed for Devine intervention by wishing for the rains.
