“Erigavo Belongs to Us All”: Sultan Said Calls for Unity and Peace in Sanaag

In a stirring display of unity and dedication to peace, Sultan Said Sultan Abdisalan has praised the successful conclusion of the peace conference in Erigavo, Somaliland.

He expressed deep gratitude to the President and all participants who made this historic gathering possible, laying a solid foundation for harmony and collaboration in the Sanaag region and kindling hope for a brighter future.

Sultan Said emphasized that Erigavo is a shared home for a tightly knit community, where every group is integral. “Erigavo belongs to us all—a city of brothers and sisters,” he declared, extending a warm invitation to those absent to join in peace, stressing that collective security and prosperity are shared aspirations.

“Our sole aim is the well-being of our nation and its people,” he affirmed, underscoring the selfless commitment driving these peacebuilding efforts.

The Sultan urged the entire Sanaag community—elders, women, youth, religious leaders, and regional authorities—to take the lead in sustaining peace and restoring the region’s dignity and unity. “We are the ones who can establish and maintain peace in Erigavo,” he said, inspiring all to actively pursue this noble goal.

Expressing appreciation for the government, its administration, appointed committees, and all contributors to the peace process, Sultan Said pledged unwavering commitment to completing the work ahead. “We have fulfilled our duty and are ready to finish what remains,” he vowed, exuding optimism.
