The Parliamentary Economic, Financial and Commercial Committee of the House of Representatives led by the Chairman of the Committee Mr. Abdirashid Abdillahi Muse (Agawayne) met with officials of the Central Bank at the latter’s headquarters.

Their visit follows the steps taken by the institution in the recent wake of depreciation of the local currency that was hit by inflation which, so far, is gradually stabilizing and picked up by 4%.

The Mps called on the people to be steadfast on their patriotism and bolster the shilling by using it in all their transactions.
