The Vice President H.E. Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismail Saili’i was part of the congregation who participated in a large event held in Hargeisa on Wednesday annual global Milad un Nabi festivities to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
It is usually held on the 12th day o the third month of the Islamic calendar with this year being 1445 AH, (12 Rabi’ul Awal).
During the occasion, the history of the Prophet is highlighted in prose, his traditions underscored and believers celebrate him profoundly. Animal sacrifices and alms giving also dot the occasion.
From villages, towns and cities all over the world Muslim residents underscore the importance of the celebrations in various methods.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice President said, “It is the day that our Prophet Muhammad Ibn Abdullahi PBUH was born. It is an honor and joy for all of us to celebrate or participate in the celebration of the birthday of our Prophet PBUH.”
He continued, “It is our duty as Muslims to profoundly observe the day and magnify the wisdom it entails and follow the upright and righteous tradition of the Prophet”.
