Minister of Internal Security Inaugurates New Koodhbuur District Headquarters

The minister of internal security Hon. Mohamed Kahin Ahmed was the chief guest during the opening of a new modern building that will house Koodbuur District headquarters within the city of Hargeisa.

He was accompanied by the mayor of Hargeisa City Council Cllr. Abdikarim Ahmed Moge.

The residents’ association of Koodbuur District was instrumental in the planning, designing and the construction of the new state-of-the art building. The building was also fully furnished with modern furniture and offices equipment.

Speaking at the opening ceremony the chairman of the executive committee of Koodbuur District  said, “The day we laid the foundation of the building was 11th November 2021, the mayor, his deputy and the secretary were present, they promised that the building will be completed on time.”

He promised to give investors of real estate a 40% tax reprieve.

The councillor of Koodhbuur District stated that they had a consultation with the mayor, chairman of Koodbuur District and the residents association about cooperation on planning and construction of the building. He revealed that the Koodbuur District residents association contributed 40% of the construction money while the city council paid the remainder.

The minister of health Hon. Hassan Gafadi who is a resident of Koodbuur District stated that before the construction of the new building he used to get it rough searching for the council offices to pay his taxes.

He said, “From today onwards I shall remit my tax with ease in this modern building.”

Addressing the guests at the opening ceremony of the new Koodbuur District headquarters the minister of internal security Hon. Mohamed Kahin Ahmed said, “I send my congratulations to the City Council of Hargeisa for implementing this grandiose project. As I open this modern and beautiful building let me acknowledge the Koodbuur District development committee who contributed 92K dollars towards the construction. The council contributed 130K dollars.”

Minister Mohamed Kahin reiterated the importance of collaborating ideas and resources for the development of the country. He added that Koodbuur District will be a good example to other districts and regions to emulate.
