Central Bank Leadership Meets Parliamentary Committee to Advance Financial Reform Agenda

The leadership of the Central Bank of Somaliland, led by Governor Abdinasir, Deputy Governor Hamse, and Director General Yasin, on Wednesday held a high-level working meeting with the Economic, Finance and Trade Subcommittee of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Somaliland.

The meeting centered on reviewing the Central Bank’s performance and discussing key priorities aimed at strengthening Somaliland’s financial sector. Both sides examined ongoing efforts to develop the national financial system, modernize payment services, and improve the efficiency of financial institutions.

Discussions also highlighted the importance of enhancing institutional cooperation between the Central Bank and the parliamentary committee to promote greater transparency, accountability, and financial stability across the country.

The engagement reflects the Central Bank’s commitment to advancing financial sector reforms while fostering closer collaboration with lawmakers to support sustainable economic growth and strengthen public confidence in Somaliland’s financial system.
