The Republic of Somaliland has marked a historic milestone in its diplomatic journey following the formal presentation of the Letters of Credence by Dr. Mohamed Omar Hagi Mohamoud to Israeli President H.E. Isaac Herzog, officially establishing Somaliland’s diplomatic mission in Israel.
In a statement released today, Somaliland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the occasion as a significant advancement in Somaliland’s expanding international engagement and diplomatic outreach.
Dr. Mohamed Omar Hagi Mohamoud becomes Somaliland’s first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the State of Israel, a move that signals deepening bilateral relations between the two sides and opens a new chapter of cooperation in diplomacy, trade, innovation, and regional partnership.
