In a powerful display of solidarity, the Government of the Republic of Somaliland has issued a strong and unequivocal condemnation of the drone attack carried out near the Barakah Nuclear Facility in the United Arab Emirates, branding it a grave threat to regional peace and global security.
The official statement, released tonight by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, describes the incident as “a dangerous violation that threatens regional peace, stability, and the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates.”
Officials warned that such brazen assaults on critical civilian infrastructure not only undermine international security but also risk catastrophic consequences for the region.
“Somaliland considers this attack a dangerous violation,” the statement reads. “Such acts undermine international security and pose serious risks to critical civilian infrastructure.”
Expressing deep concern, the Government and people of Somaliland reaffirmed their “full solidarity with the Government and people of the United Arab Emirates during this difficult moment.” They pledged unwavering support for all measures aimed at protecting the UAE’s security and stability.
The Republic further reiterated its zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism, declaring its “firm rejection of all forms of terrorism, violence, and attacks targeting civilian facilities and critical infrastructure.”
This swift and unambiguous stance from Somaliland underscores the growing diplomatic ties between the two nations and highlights a shared commitment to combating threats that endanger innocent lives and vital energy infrastructure in the volatile region.
