Somaliland’s Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Ahmed-Yasin Mohamed Farah has described the construction of the Lowyo-Caddo–Borama road as a major achievement for the people of Somaliland, particularly communities living along the route.
The minister said the road addresses a long-standing need for improved transportation and connectivity, noting that local residents have faced significant challenges related to movement, transport, and access to basic services for many years.
He urged communities in the area to take responsibility for protecting and preserving the new development.
“The construction of the Lowyo-Addo–Borama road is a victory for the people of Somaliland. This road was greatly needed, and the local people have long suffered from transportation difficulties. We say to the local communities: the success has finally reached us, so let us protect the progress that has come our way,” he said.
