Sultan Wabar received highly in Hargeisa upon return to the country

The return to the country of prominent Awdalian traditional leader Sultan Abikar Elmi Wabar has further bolstered the peaceful solidarity and tranquil coexistence of the nation of the Republic of Somaliland.

The arrival of sultan Wabar is expected to further cement unity in the country; coexistence, peace and stability are factors prioritized by the administration of the Head of State H.E. President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro since he was sworn into office.

The Sultan arrived at the end of the week to a profound reception entry into the city of Hargeisa in a highly organized reception by the state.

On the fore front to welcome the Sultan were the Ministers of Presidency, Interior, Telecommunication and Technology the Honourables Khadar Hussein Abdi, Abdalle Mohamed Arab and Dr. Abdisalan Hussein Awale.

The presidency minister noted that he was elated that the Sultan has come back to his motherland and would be able to celebrate the 18th May commemoration with his compatriots.

He took the opportunity to take a jibe at the Mogadishu administration for fanning insurgency in the country to their detriment and with no avail.

He affirmed that the fledgling and bolstering efforts of coexistence is ongoing.

He particularly hailed the foreign ministry advisor Mr. Jama Gaabush and a Mr. Abdihalim Rijaal for having been instrumental on the return of the Sultan.

He underscored the importance of safeguarding peaceful stability

And tranquil coexistence within the country hence underscored the fact that the pledges and priority policies of the administration is being adhered to.

The Sultan thanked the President and the government for the reconciliatory efforts made towards peace building, tranquility and stability and at the same time maintaining and safeguarding them.

All speakers at the venue echoed similar words of striving for peace and progress, as per the administration’s policy.

The VP H.E. Mohamed Ali aw Abdi later on received Sultan Wabar at his residence.
