The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, who is also serving as Acting President, H.E. Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi, on Thursday received Sultan Abubakar Elmi Wabar at his residence in Hargeisa following the Sultan’s return to the country.
During the meeting, the Vice President welcomed the Sultan and reaffirmed that Somaliland is built on principles of dialogue, reconciliation, mutual understanding, and national unity. He emphasized the importance of maintaining cohesion and cooperation among community leaders and the government.
The Vice President was accompanied by senior officials, including the Minister of Interior and National Security, the Minister of Communications and Technology, the Commander of the Somaliland Police Force, the Chairman of the Peace Committee, and the Director of the Civil Aviation and Airports Development Authority.
Sultan Abubakar Elmi Wabar expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and respect extended to him. He commended the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen security, promote development, and preserve stability across the country.
