The Minister of Information, Culture and Awareness of the Republic of Somaliland, Hon. Barkhad Jama Batun, today launched a health support fund for the ministry’s employees, marking the first time such an initiative has been established.
The fund is intended to assist ministry staff who fall ill, ensuring support for their medical needs.
The employees of the ministry approved the establishment of the fund and endorsed the minister’s proposal, pledging to continuously support and stand by the initiative.
The Deputy Minister of Information, Hon. Muse Askar Guleed, and the Director General of the ministry, Abdisalaan Mahmoud Ducaale (Ilkacase), praised the staff for their spirit of mutual support and encouraged them to maintain this cooperation.
Minister Barkhad stated that a committee of employees will be formed to manage the fund, emphasizing the importance of carrying out its responsibilities with transparency and fairness.
