President Abdirahman Irro graces Sanaag University 11th graduation ceremony, a first for a seating head of state

The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi popularly known as Irro graced over the week the graduation ceremony of Sanaag University, the 11th batch of nearly 200 students, 55% of whom are girls, and delivered speeches of encouragement, prayers and advice.

This is the first time a sitting head of state presided over a graduation at the Sanaag University.

The President of the Republic of Somaliland congratulated the students, parents and the teachers of the academic center, praising the students for their efforts and success.

He urged the graduates to use their knowledge to develop their communities and the nation at large, maintain peace and unity in the Sanaag region.

The President reminded the graduates that completion of the course is a new and responsible beginning. He noted that the country is waiting for them, and the future of Somaliland is in their hands.

He prayed to God to bless the students with their earned knowledge and guide them on the right path to develop their nation.

The graduation ceremony was a joyous one, which demonstrated the level of knowledge in the Sanaag region and the importance of education in building the local community and the future of Somaliland.
