The Bank of Somaliland took a significant step toward strengthening its financial operations as Director General Mr. Yasin Jama Ahmed officially launched a four-day training program aimed at enhancing staff expertise in monetary statistics and financial report analysis.
The intensive workshop, held at the Bank’s headquarters, brings together professionals from critical departments, including Monetary Policy, Financial Institutions Supervision, Planning and Research, Debt Management, and Risk Management. The training is designed to equip participants with cutting-edge skills to improve economic data accuracy and financial decision-making.
Renowned financial expert Mr. Farah Ahmed is voluntarily leading the sessions, sharing modern techniques for compiling monetary statistics and conducting in-depth analysis of financial reports. His expertise is expected to bolster the Bank’s capacity to manage economic risks effectively.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director General Yasin emphasized the training’s importance in the Bank’s mission to elevate staff capabilities and refine monetary policy management. “This program is a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering economic growth in Somaliland through informed, evidence-based financial strategies,” he said.
