Finance Minister Conducts Performance Review with Ministry Officials

Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Hon. Abdillahi Hassan Aden commended the department heads for their diligent execution of their responsibilities and urged them to prepare for achieving the targets outlined in the annual work plan, which each office or department will begin implementing this year.

A performance evaluation meeting assessing the work of the departments of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development for the January-March quarter was held at the conference hall of the Office of the Auditor General.

This quarterly meeting aimed to evaluate how each department performed against its annual plan. Departmental directors presented reports detailing their progress toward set targets, tasks that were not completed, and the reasons for any shortcomings.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr. Abdillahi Hassan Aden, the State Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr. Ismail Mowlid Abdillahi, the Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Mohamed Hassan Saleban, and heads of the Ministry’s departments.

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development has an annual plan and a Five-Year Strategic Plan, which serves as a roadmap for each office to carry out its mandated tasks. Quarterly, semi-annual, and annual meetings are held to review and assess the progress of planned activities and address any pending tasks.

The meeting, which lasted several hours, was concluded by the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr. Abdillahi Hassan Aden.
