Finance Minister and Head of DP World Berbera meet to discuss growth and acceleration of the country’s economy

Hargeisa, February 10, 2025  – Today, a meeting was held between the Minister of Finance and Economic Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdillahi Hassan Aden, and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DP World Berbera, Mr. Supachai.

The two sides discussed several important issues related to the growth and acceleration of the country’s economy.

The key points discussed included:

1. General overview of the structure and operations of the Berbera Port.
2. Acceleration and improvement of the services provided by the port.
3. Implementation of cargo transit services for neighboring countries.
4. Continuation of the expansion and modernization of the port.
