IGAD Sheik Technical Veterinary School last week (30th, Nov 2023)concluded the second batch of 21-day training program for Community Animal Health Workers (CAHWs) from Marodi-Jeh region.
In collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), ISTVS has equipped 25 participants from 24 villages with enhanced skills in Community-level Diagnosis, Treatment, and Control of Livestock Diseases.
This initiative is a key step toward strengthening disease surveillance and reporting, ensuring healthier livestock for the agro-pastoral community. By doing so, we aim to uplift welfare, enhance livelihoods, and pave the way for a sustainable increase in family income derived from animal production.
