Police return cash of accident victim to next of kin

The traffic law enforcement forces recovered large amounts of money from a vehicle that had an accident fatally killing the owner who was driving it and handed it back to the next of kin.

An official who spoke for Somaliland’s road safety force said that two thousand one hundred and twenty dollars and ten Ethiopian riyals were handed over to the relatives of the deceased who died in a car accident.

The security officer also added that the deceased was a businessman for the last 30 years.

On the other hand, the security forces advised the members of the community to avoid carrying large sums and instead use financial institutions for safe keeping and transfers.

Traffic accidents have of late increased tremendously in the country.
