Somaliland Political Organizations welcomed the decision issued by the Somaliland National Elections Commission (NEC) to hold the Elections of Political Organizations and the Presidency.
The Chairman of the KAAH Political Association, Mahmoud Hashi Abdi, praised the National Elections Commission for setting the elections date said that he welcomed the move wholeheartedly.
He said, “On behalf of the KAAH Political Association, I whole heartedly welcome the decision of the Electoral Commission to hold the Election of Political Associations and the Presidential Elections. The decision they took depicted bravery to bring the country out of the darkness as a necessary and courageous step”.
The Chairman of Horseed Abdillahi Hussein Iman Abdillahi Darawal Political Association welcomed the decision of the Electoral Commission to hold the elections. He said, “We welcome the decision of the Electoral Commission, and we see it as legitimate move hence tell the members of the public to prepare for elections”.
He also urged the populaces to uphold security and safeguard it hence shun distracters with wayward politics.
Similarly the Chairman of the Talowadaag Political Association, Ibrahim Mahdi Bubaa was happy of the decisions by the commission and noted that the country is headed for the elections. “We want the Somaliland community to prepare for the elections”, he said.
