The Standing Committee of the Somaliland House of Representatives held a meeting with the Minister of Finance, Dr. Saad Ali Shire, along with the Deputy Minister and the Director General of the Ministry.
The meeting, which was held at the House of Representatives, was part of a series of meetings held by the Committee in recent days with officials from various branches of government, and the two sides discussed the activities of the Ministry of National Financial Development.
When the meeting ended, the Minister of the Ministry of Financial Development, Dr Saad Ali Shire, and the Chairman of the Permanent Sub-Committee of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Abdi Muse Cige (Ahmed Inni), spoke to the media and gave details of the points discussed in their meeting. The Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Abdi Muse Cige (Ahmed Inni), who spoke first, said, “Today (Tuesday) we called the Ministry of Finance, we asked several points, and they responded positively. The characteristic of government is to work together and discuss existing issues, correct what is wrong, and do what is right.”
Minister of Finance Dr. Saad Ali Shire, explained the purpose of the meeting, “The members have called us today for an information meeting while fulfilling their constitutional duties. We asked about the financial situation and the budget situation, they welcomed us well, we answered the questions they asked us, and they were satisfied,” said the Minister of Finance.
