Interior Minister meets Danish Ambassador

The Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Hon. Mohamed Kahin Ahmed flanked by the Director General of the minister Mr. Mohamed Yusuf Ismail, had a meeting with the new Ambassador of the Danish Government to the Republic of Somaliland and Somali Affairs, Ambassador Steen Sonne Anderson and his delegation. The ambassador is visiting the country in his maiden visit.

The minister a briefed the Danish delegation on the peaceful stability  and general security situation cherished and prevalent and the country.

Of note, Hon. Kahin spoke about the progress that Somaliland has made in the last 30 years, without the help of the world community while emphasizing that achievements realized are solely as a result of homemade collaboration between the government and the people, as Somaliland stands for peace and progress.

They also spoke about the elections and the epic democracy in Somaliland. The Minister said that the state have prepared put in place all the aspects expected and required of it in as much as the funding and security are concern.

He pointed out to the visitors that the Committee for the Registration of Organizations and the Approval of National Parties had already submitted to the NEC the list of organizations that are eligible to contend for the top three slots to become the next official national political parties as per constitution.

The Ambassador on his part thanked the Minister for his good reception, saying that the Government of Denmark is working with the Government of Somaliland, in terms of development and democracy, hence praised Somaliland for its security and progress.

The meeting ended in a mutual understanding between the two parties.
