THT-The government of Somaliland is sending a high level delegation to Taiwan. According to information reaching the Horn Tribune, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Dr. Issa Keyd Mohamoud confirmed that they will be leaving to Taipei after receiving official invitation from president of Taiwan H.E Tsai Ing-wen.
This delegation will be the first high profile Somaliland is sending to Taiwan since it ignited relationship with the island nation.
Information reaching us confirms that the foreign minister will be accompanied by the Finance Minister, Dr..Saad Ali Shire and his Planning counterpart Dr. Omar Ali Abdilahi and Livestock Minister Said Sulub.
The delegation left Egal International Airport in route to Taipei on 7th, February 2022.
Similarly, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a post on their Twitter stated;
A high-caliber delegation of Ministers led by the Foreign Minister, Dr. Essa Kayd, departed to Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan.

Somaliland and Taiwanese diplomatic missions in both countries also posted messages in support of the delegation’s visit on Twitter, saying;
