Taiwan Representative Office officially opened Somaliland.

THT- Taiwan Representative Office were officially opened today in Hargeisa, a venue invited Somaliland Minister of Foreign affairs Prof Yaasin Mohamoud Faraton, UCID party Chairman Eng Faisal A. Warabe, large guest comprises different folks of society.

Taiwanese President H.E. Tsai Ing-wen welcomed the opening of a #Taiwan representative office in #Somaliland and described a chance to help promote peace, freedom and democracy in the Horn of Africa. A reciprocal office will be opened in Taipei soon.

Somaliland Foreign Minister Prof Yasin M. Faraton, who attended the opening ceremony, stated I am pleased to co-host together with Minister Joseph Wu, @MOFA_Taiwan & the Government of Taiwan to officially open Taiwan Representative Office in #Somaliland. From Somaliland side, I would like to announce our Representative Office is due to open in the next few weeks.

Lou open the Taiwan Representative Office in Somaliland. My commitment: #Somaliland has a friend in #Taiwan & me. The Cabinet and the entire Taiwan government followed the opening ceremony on “Livestreaming”

Somaliland Ministry of Foreign Affairs hailed  Signature of the Cooperation framework Agreement between Somaliland and Taiwan International Cooperation Development fund    ( Taiwan ICDF ) @MOFA_Taiwan 

Taiwan has opened its representative office in Somaliland. The office is headed by Luo Chen-hwa , formerly a counselor at Taiwan”s representative office in Saudi Arabia. The new office is a white building with the national flags of Taiwan and Somaliland flying outside. Taiwan hails the opening of the office as a diplomatic breakthrough and a step forward in its friendship with Somaliland.  it”s a multi-party democracy with a stable and relatively free society, which is uncommon in Africa.
