WADDANI Party Chairman Hersi Ali Haji Hassan has praised Somaliland Police Commissioner Brigadier General Abdirahman Abdullahi Hassan for what he described as significant progress in modernising and strengthening the national police force during his tenure.
Hersi commended the police chief for improvements in police infrastructure and institutional development, highlighting the transformation of key police facilities in Hargeisa.
He said he had personally visited the Central Police Station and the New Hargeisa Police Station, expressing admiration for their facilities and standards, which he said were comparable to those of modern police stations internationally.
“I acknowledge that the Police Commissioner has made significant progress in advancing the Somaliland Police Force. I visited the Central Police Station and the New Hargeisa Police Station, which are comparable to police stations in developed countries,” Hersi said.
His remarks highlight growing recognition of efforts to modernise Somaliland’s police institutions and improve the infrastructure supporting public security and law enforcement.
