The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Rural Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Hon. Ali Ahmed Abdi (Ali ‘Antar), today officially opened a training on horse diseases and their treatment methods.
The two-day training will benefit 20 veterinary doctors and nurses from the Maroodijeeh, Hawd and Gabiley regions.
During the training, participants will improve their knowledge on Horse Diseases, Diagnosis and Treatment, specifically studying important diseases affecting horses, such as: –
– Equine Influenza
– Equine Colic
– Equine Piroplasmosis
– Tetanus
– Strangles.
This training is part of the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen the knowledge and skills of veterinary workers, in order to provide quality health services, especially in the care, treatment and health protection of horses.
