Chairman of the Republic of Somaliland’s ruling Waddani Party, Hon. Hersi Ali Hassan, yesterday, welcomed prominent American historian and foreign policy analyst Michael Rubin to his office, where the two held discussions on Somaliland and regional affairs.
According to Chairman Hersi, Michael Rubin is a distinguished historian, a respected expert on the Middle East, the Horn of Africa, and international security affairs, as well as a longstanding friend of Somaliland.
During the meeting, Chairman Hersi expressed his sincere appreciation for Rubin’s steadfast support for Somaliland and his continued efforts to strengthen international understanding of Somaliland’s case for re-recognition.
He praised Rubin’s consistent advocacy and his valuable contributions to informed policy dialogue and international engagement on Somaliland, noting that his efforts have helped bring greater global attention to Somaliland’s democratic progress and aspirations for international recognition.
