HARGEISA — The Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Abdullahi Jama Osman, officially received the Commander of the Somaliland Police Force, Senior Officer Abdirashid Abdillahi Hassan, at his office.
The high-level meeting focused on how the police force can actively contribute to ongoing efforts to protect the environment and preserve the country’s wildlife. Police forces play a critical role in environmental enforcement at all times, working alongside the Ministry to prevent violations and curb the destruction of nature and wildlife.
During the meeting, Minister Osman expressed his appreciation to the Police Commander for the continued cooperation and support extended to the Ministry, particularly in the areas of environmental protection and wildlife conservation.
The discussions concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions, enhancing coordinated efforts to safeguard the nation’s environment and wildlife more effectively.
