Brigadier General Nim’an Yusuf Osman, Commander of the Somaliland National Army, conducted a critical inspection tour of military bases in the Awdal and Salal regions.
According to the Dawan newspaper, the commander met with the Salal Region Security Committee, led by the Regional Governor, and engaged with community leaders to discuss the region’s security situation.
The tour included visits to bases along the Somaliland-Djibouti border, where Commander Nim’an received detailed briefings from stationed military officers.
He also inspected the National Army base in Lughaya district, meeting with local elders to discuss strengthening security and fostering military-community cooperation.
Lughaya elders expressed gratitude for the commander’s visit and commitment to regional security. The inspections are part of ongoing efforts to enhance the National Army’s training, equipment, and border defense capabilities, reinforcing Somaliland’s national security.
