The Minister of Energy and Minerals of Somaliland, Eng. Ahmed Jama Barre, accompanied by national and regional officials, made a working visit to the Sanaag region.
The visit began with the inauguration of the largest gold production factory in the Horn of Africa, funded by Xididmadow Company, located in the Cirshiida area. Following this, the minister and his delegation conducted inspections and assessments of mining companies in the region, where they met with the management of the mining companies and the local community.
Additionally, the delegation delivered food aid to the local residents affected by drought. The aid was handed over by the Minister of Energy and Minerals to the Chairman of Xididmadow Company. Subsequently, the aid was officially transferred to the Minister of Livestock and Rural Development, a member of the national drought committee, who then handed it over to the Governor of the Region, Mr. Ahmed Abdi Muuse, for distribution to the community.
