Somaliland Launches Tech Skills Programme for 100 Secondary Students

HARGEISA – The Ministries of Communication & Technology (MoCT) and Education (MoE) of the Republic of Somaliland have officially launched a new Youth Technology Enhancement Programme.

This initiative targets secondary school students, providing 100 selected youth with practical, modern technological skills. The goal is to directly improve their employability and position technology as a key driver for Somaliland’s economic growth and youth job creation.

The pilot programme, delivered by the Somaliland Innovation Hub, focuses on equipping students with immediately applicable skills to compete in both local and global job markets. Long-term, it aims to build a globally competitive tech-savvy youth workforce.
