The 2026 Budget Policy Committee of the Somaliland Government held its inaugural meeting today at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development headquarters in Hargeisa.
Chaired by Finance Minister Abdillahi Hassan Aden, the meeting brought together key figures, including the Ministers of Health Development, Water Resources Development, Education and Science, Agricultural Development, Communications and Technology, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Development, the Director General of the Ministry of Finance, and the Government’s Chief Accountant.
The committee reviewed the Budget Outlook Paper presented by the Ministry of Finance, laying the groundwork for the 2026 budget policy.
Discussions focused on Somaliland’s economic landscape, global economic trends, and potential challenges, emphasizing strategies to strengthen national resilience and preparedness.
