A well-organized event attended by the top Treasury officials, employees and other dignitaries greatly praised the employees who were noted for the best annual employee awards.
The Finance minister Hon. Abdillahi Hassan Adan said at the event that the ministry will develop the capacity skills of the staffers in the ministry such that they may be better equipped with advanced knowledge in the profession and serve the public impeccably.
The Chairman of the Public Service Commission Mr. Abdiaziz Hirsi Warsame, who addressed the event, noted that according to public employees’ charter it was imperative for government employees to be evaluated every year.
“As permitted by the Public Service Act, every government employee must be evaluated once a year, and the Ministry of Finance has complied with this provision”, he said
Mr. Mohamed Hassan Suleiman, Director General of the Ministry of Finance, congratulated the employees who received the awards, and at the same time urged the employees to be more diligent in their duties and excel too.
Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Wayrah, who is Director of the Personnel Department said that the efforts of the employees have enabled the government to work smoothly and enable all other state institutions to operate duly.
He pointed out that it was good that the best were awarded, hence hailed all employees of the ministry who do their daily duties across the country.
“The employees being awarded tonight are those who make it possible to pay the salaries of Government Employees and the various National Forces every month”.
