Somaliland Police Force Chief Major General Mohamed Adan Saqadi Dabagale, said that 15 thousand security personnel were engaged in the country’s elections, ensuring peaceful security prevailed during the elections.

The Commander of the Police Force, who over the week attended a meeting on post-election hosted by National Electoral Commission for election stakeholders, indicated that the security arms of the state were quite vigilante and expedited their duties as per expectations.

He pointed out that their readiness and stand-by mode coupled by the conduct of the populaces and voters, bolstered the security which by and large went on smoothly and successfully throughout the nation.

He said that they were of course wary of any negative eventuality but was thankful that all the concerted efforts were successful.
