The Hiraal Youth Center which is funded by the UNFP, located in the capital of Hargeisa, was visited by the Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations, Catriona Laing.
The delegation was welcomed at the center by officials from UNFPA, the national organization SOHASCO, which is in charge of the center, and the management of the center.
During her visit, the delegation observed the center as a whole, especially the various areas of youth development training, where she individually parleyed with the students being trained in the sign languages, cookery, tailoring, photography and also beauty make-ups.
The delegation appreciated and was very humbled by the work at the center for the community.
They thanked the management of the center for their efforts in improving the skills of the youth.
On the other hand, the delegation visited the health center at Hiraal, which provides various health services to the community free of charge.
Ugbad Ahmed Ali, the head of the health center, conducted the delegation on a tour in the facility detailing about the services the center has for the community.
Finally, Muna Mohamed Ali, the manager of the Hiraal Youth Center, informed about the visit of the Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations to the Hiraal Center.
