The Director General of the Ministry of Finance Mr. Mohamed Hussein Mu’adinka opened a two-day long meeting for top local governments officials from across the country.
The mayors and concerned line officials were the participants in attendance.
The workshop meeting focused on procedural ways and means of applied in requisitions of subsidy funds from the central government and the water-tight auditing it entails.
The DG explained the agenda of the meeting as being one that would highlight the rights and entitlements of the civic authorities including the auditing entailed.
He said that the workshop will empower them with better grasp on the subsidy guide procedures needed for better service providence and its administrative management.
Noting that line institutions are tailored to have apt inter-working relations, inter-lapping role conflicts or conflicting roles should be out of question.
