Taiwan is sending a large delegation to Somaliland

A delegation from Taiwan is expected to jet into the country to continue fostering and bolstering the cooperation between the two countries.

Somaliland representative to Taiwan Ambassador Mohamed said that Taiwan is sending a large delegation to the country that would be led by its Director General of Foreign Affairs Yung-Jang Chen.

Taiwan made an investment in our oil blocks.

He noted that the Taiwanese delegation will have their visit focus on cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy and minerals, as well as investment and trade.

He welcomed friendly Taiwanese cooperation.

Meanwhile the ambassador revealed that that middle-level Taiwanese businesswomen who are planning to invest in Somaliland will soon go to the country.

In a message posted on his Twitter account on Friday he noted, “This year, middle level businesswomen from Taiwan are prepared to invest in Somaliland in the fields of mining, fishing, electric transportation and food chain. Just days before their departure for Somaliland, it was a pleasure to meet with them in my office for a lengthy discussion”.
