Interior minister meets the country’s civil society organizations

The Minister of Interior Hon. Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, held a meeting with the Civil Society Organizations of the Republic of Somaliland in Wednesday in his office.

The purpose of the meeting was to have a brief about the general situation in the country, and the situation in the city of Lasanood, the capital of Sool region.

Hon. Mohamed Kaahin gave a long brief to the officials of the Civil Society Organizations about the state of security in the country and how the government is committed to ending the problem in the town of Lasanood through an agreeable peace process.

On the other hand, the officials of the Civil Society Organizations informed the minister about their views on working together for the security and development of the country.

They said that they are ready for continuous cooperation with the government and public organizations between them, especially the ministries they cooperate with, including the Ministry of Interior.

The meeting ended with a full understanding to work together more closely than before, while the officials from the Civil Society Organizations thanked the Minister of Interior, Hon. Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, for the brief he gave them on the situation.

Present was also the Minister of Public Works, Land and Housing Hon. Mustafe Ali Bile, Director General of the Ministry of Interior Mr. Mohamed Yusuf Ismail, and other officials of the Ministry of Interior.
