THT-Samia Abdulle, a Community Activist, Equity and Inclusion Consultant, is amongst the 100 most influential people https://isbatlanta.org/the-100-influential-georgia-muslims/ in the Islamic community in Georgia, at a ceremony held yesterday.
An annual event honouring the 100 most influential Muslims in Georgia and for the twentieth year in a row, Ms. Samia has become the first woman in the East African Islamic community to win this award.
Ms. Samia, a native of the Republic of Somaliland, has been honored for inspiring the Somali community, on all fronts, in terms of political participation in the country in which they live, to have representatives advocate for their interests, on education, and inclusion with their host community etc.
Ms. Samia, who made a brief statement about the importance of her work to the community, said,
“I carry my ancestors on my shoulders, honor their work and elevate their contributions. I work to honor them not me.”

Samia Abdulle has made community inclusion the primary focus of her adult career and personal life. Working in the most diverse square mile in the USA, Samia sees herself as “a spokesperson for the community, not a salesperson from the community.”
As a founder of Amani Global Consulting, she has dedicated herself to empowering and mobilizing individuals to advocate on the global stage for themselves and their families.
“When we begin to see ourselves as a global community and not just individuals we can begin to unlock a potential that none of us even realized was possible. I work to push that vision forward every day of my life, no matter how large or small, and no matter how connected or isolated. With time and effort I truly believe we can see ourselves as a global human family.”
