We want to achieve food security for the police force, says Police Chief

THT-Somaliland Chief of Police, Brigadier General Mohamed Aden Saqadi inspecting the new and only horse mounted section of the Somaliland Police Force in border town of Wajale, stated that they will be deployed different parts of the country

Police Chief who traveled on a working visit to Wajaale town was received commander of Police Farm and his men. Farm commander who spoke at the venue praised assistance their chief always provided all farm inputs, and got chance to wrap up their training new Police unit, last year he ordered to be established.

The police chief said in a statement that his visit was to see the efforts of the police in achieving food security in the country and the various crops they have planted.

They bought three tractors for the farm, and it is expected to produce 2,000 bags of maize, 1,500 bags of corn and 200 bags of onions, he said. In our country, more crops will can grow, if we cultivate. We want to achieve food security for the police force.

Commander Saqadhi said that in line with the President’s policy, the various national forces were advised to produce their food by cultivating the land.

Adding Police Force has recruited new division of horses that will be deployed in different parts of the country, and today part of them finished 9 months trainings,

“Police acquired 53 horses now, were 30 of them are trained, we have two goals, one, they are the beauty of the police and the nation, the second, will be used for the security protection.
