THT-A ceremony was held at SONYO Hall yesterday Saturday 10th July ‘21 for the graduates of assorted proficiency skills and face beautification disciplines.
A month-long vocational training course yesterday saw the graduation of 154 students, both boys and girls. A total of 52 female students graduated, while 102 boys graduated from the internship.
The project, funded by UNFPA through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was implemented by the national organization SOHASCO.
The opening remarks were made by SOHASCO head Muna Hussein and Mr. Guled M. Yassin, Head of Programs at the SONYO Center, who congratulated trained students, advising them to apply what they have learned.
The Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mohamed Said Khawi, the Head of the UNFPA – Somaliland Youth Unit, Abdiaziz Mohamed Farah, and the Director of SONYO Abdihamid M. Omar who addressed the gathering praised SOHASCO for their great work.
Finally, the 15 best in Facial Make-up and Intern patch were awarded prizes as the rest received their respective certificates.
