Taiwan has opened its representative office in Somaliland. The office is headed by Luo Chen-hwa , formerly a counselor at Taiwan”s representative office in Saudi Arabia. The new office is a white building with the national flags of Taiwan and Somaliland flying outside. Taiwan hails the opening of the office as a diplomatic breakthrough and a step forward in its friendship with Somaliland. it”s a multi-party democracy with a stable and relatively free society, which is uncommon in Africa.
