Hon Ali Mohamed Waran Cade, Minister of Interior leading a high level ministerial delegation on Friday night met with elders representing two warring clans in Eel Afweyn town involved in the recent skirmishes.
All parties involved in the reconciling efforts agreed upon that the two warring sides should each form committees of their own meeting while the government will select its own committee and one independent committee during the meeting which took place on Friday night in El Afweyn.
The independent committee will consist of elders drawn from other clans based in the area and the government committee will be headed by the governor of Sanaag region.
The four phased committee will be tasked with resolving the disputes between the two warring clans that resulted into human causalities in Bacaha district.
