Hargeisa (THT) The Borama Mayor Cllr. Suleiman Hassan Hadi has warned that the security and stability of the region would not be left at peril but that vigilance would be stepped up.

“We shall never allow the stability of the region to be undermined or that of the country at large,” said Dr. Hadi.

He took issue with blanket allegations depicting the region negatively hence putting it into disrepute as concerns security.

He told the security apparatus that “we are convictional both at regional and district levels that breach of security would not be entertained at all”.

He said that despite the fact that the generally precarious issues were to be addressed at national level, he took issue with internal Borama matters.

“As concerns internal Borama affairs, we will have zero tolerance with whoever would disturb security”, warned the minister.

He appealed to traditional leaders, the clergy and eminent personalities within the community to step up security awareness and guidance on vigilance and the need preserve stability collectively.
