The Minister of Education, and his religious and Endowment counterpart met over the week at the education ministry headquarters and discussed on ways and means of synchronizing and unifying the religious curriculum taught at both the mainstream madarasas and purely religious institutions.

Of note, the crucial issues pondered were: –

  1. Unifying the curriculum of Madaras and Religious Schools.
  2. Unifying the qualifications offered by Madaras and Religious Schools.
  3. Strengthening cooperation and ongoing collaboration between the two Ministries.

Both ministries agreed to study the issues at hand in depth, and technically, and to establish a cooperation mechanism to address them.

It would consist of a technical committee to work on preparing a unified plan, to ensure the coordination of the curriculum, qualifications and joint activities of the two ministries.
