The Ministerial Committee overseeing the Food Systems Resilience Program (FSRP) has conducted a high-level review of the project’s implementation, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening food security, agricultural production, and community livelihoods across Somaliland.
The committee held its quarterly meeting at the office of the Minister of Agriculture Development of the Republic of Somaliland, where officials assessed the progress of the World Bank-funded initiative and discussed ways to accelerate ongoing activities.
Chaired by the Minister of Agriculture Development, Hon. Aadan Geedi Qayaad, the meeting brought together key stakeholders involved in the FSRP project to evaluate achievements, address challenges, and enhance collaboration among participating institutions.
Discussions focused on speeding up project implementation, improving coordination between government agencies, strengthening food systems, increasing agricultural productivity, and supporting sustainable livelihoods for communities.
The committee members agreed to intensify cooperation and establish stronger follow-up mechanisms to ensure the effective delivery of the project’s planned activities and objectives.
The FSRP initiative is expected to play a significant role in building resilient food systems, supporting farmers, and improving agricultural development through coordinated efforts and strategic investments.
