In a rousing address at the 5th Session of the WADDANI Party Central Council, Chairman Hersi Ali H Hassan declared that the ruling party has successfully fulfilled its founding vision of becoming a truly national, all-inclusive political movement where every Somali citizen stands equal.
Speaking passionately to party members, Hersi Ali praised the remarkable growth of WADDANI, noting that it has evolved into a dynamic force where individuals can rise through the ranks based on merit, without discrimination or exclusion.
“We have achieved the dream envisioned by the President when he founded this party — a genuine national party that belongs to all,” he said.
Warm Welcome to New Heavyweights
The Chairman extended a special and heartfelt welcome to the wave of prominent politicians and influential figures who have recently joined WADDANI. He singled out his friend Qabyo-tire and his entire group, telling them: “Welcome, all of you! Just as we were welcomed yesterday and rose to lead this party, you too can reach the highest positions.”
Chairman Hersi Ali emphasized that the influx of “new blood” does not diminish the contributions of the party’s original supporters, who remain the foundation of WADDANI’s success. Instead, he described the new joiners as proof that growing numbers of Somalilanders with previously different views are now convinced by the party’s vision.

While the President has been occupied with government responsibilities, Chairman Hersi Ali revealed that the party machinery has been hard at work. Key achievements highlighted include:
Establishment of modern, high-standard party offices across the country.
Intensive public outreach and engagement efforts to win hearts and minds.
Development of a clear policy framework to guide the party’s operations.
Forging international relations, including working visits to several African countries where WADDANI connected with some of the continent’s oldest and most experienced political parties.
Drafting and approval of a comprehensive Political Principles document to serve as the party’s ideological compass and identity.
The Political Principles were formally presented to the Central Council and have already received approval from the Party’s Executive Committee.
