The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development of the Republic of Somaliland held its quarterly performance evaluation meeting this morning at the ministry’s headquarters conference hall, rigorously assessing the achievements, challenges, and forward-looking priorities of its various departments and sections for the January–March 2026 period.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Finance and Economic Development of Somaliland, Hon. Abdilaahi Mohamed Hassan, and was attended by Deputy Minister Hon. Ismail Mawlid Abdullahi and Director General Mohamed Hassan Salebaan.
During the session, officials carried out a thorough analysis of the three-month performance reports, reviewing successes achieved, existing obstacles, and opportunities for improvement. Special focus was given to strengthening good governance, enhancing transparency, and improving financial accountability to ensure the ministry effectively delivers on its national responsibilities.
The evaluation is guided by the ministry’s Five-Year Strategic Plan (2024–2028) and the annual work plans derived from it, with each department measuring progress against its specific targets.
